de Sede Manufacturer's Warranty – Indoor

As a manufacturer, de Sede AG grants its customers a warranty for all products it manufactures during the warranty period. This warranty covers design, manufacturing, processing, and material defects and applies to the purchaser who has acquired the warranted item for private use. The exact terms and conditions of the warranty are set forth in the following provisions.
Important: This manufacturer's warranty expressly applies in addition to and independently of the seller's statutory and/or contractual warranty. However, it is excluded if the buyer claims against the seller for the same defect based on a statutory or contractual warranty. Therefore, the warranty does not affect the buyer's warranty rights against the seller. -
To assert a warranty claim, the customer must contact the retailer from whom the furniture was purchased. The furniture must be available to verify the warranty claim and, if necessary, to carry out repairs. Under this manufacturer's warranty, the customer is not entitled to reimbursement of costs incurred in connection with the enforcement of their warranty claim (e.g., telephone and postage costs, travel expenses, etc.), unless de Sede AG has acted in breach of contract.

de Sede AG grants:

a full 10-year warranty on the NECK leather cover
-
a full 5-year warranty on the general leather upholstery
-
a full 2-year warranty on all other products
(taking into account points 4 and 8).
The manufacturer's warranty assumes normal use and proper care according to the product care instructions. The warranty period begins upon purchase of the product.

The following are excluded from the guarantee :

Damage caused by excessive/improper use

Damage caused by accidents or force majeure

Damage due to non-compliance with product specifications
-
Damage caused by improper use, deliberate destruction, unauthorized interventions or pets
-
Transport and fall damage
-
Contamination of any kind
-
Damage caused by sharp, scratching or angular objects

The scope of the guarantee obligations:
A. Guarantee as described in point 3
B. Free repair within the regular warranty period
C. If repair is not possible or economically reasonable, the product will be exchanged or replaced with an equivalent product (free of charge within 5 years).
D. Warranty services are provided in the usual course of business and as promptly as possible
E. Decision regarding repair, exchange or replacement rests with de Sede AG
F. The service does not start a new warranty period -
Important: Leather is a natural product. Natural characteristics are not considered defects or deterioration within the meaning of this warranty.

Warranty claims cannot be assigned without the consent of de Sede AG.

Additional exclusions:
A. Defects in materials supplied by the customer or ordered outside the collection
B. Use outside the private sphere
C. Custom-made products
D. Errors in submitted materials (quality, suitability, etc.) -
Wear parts (e.g., joints, hinges, motors) are subject to a statutory warranty period of two years . During this period: free replacement; thereafter: replacement at a charge.

The warranty is void if modifications or repairs are carried out without written consent.

The warranty only covers the direct costs of correcting the defect. No liability is assumed for consequential damages (e.g., loss of use) unless caused intentionally or by gross negligence. Statutory and/or contractual warranty rights remain unaffected.

For commercial use, the statutory warranty applies.

If a warranty claim is rejected, the claims become time-barred within 6 months of receipt of the rejection.
de Sede Manufacturer's Warranty – Outdoor

As a manufacturer, de Sede AG provides a warranty for all products it manufactures during the warranty period. This warranty applies to design, manufacturing, processing, and material defects for private use.
Important: This guarantee applies in addition to the statutory/contractual warranty, but is void if the buyer claims against the seller for the same defect.

Warranty claims must be submitted to the retailer. Furniture must be available for inspection. Costs (telephone, postage, travel) will not be reimbursed unless de Sede AG has acted in breach of contract.

The warranty assumes normal use and proper care. It begins upon purchase. The 5-year warranty is void for replacement products; only the general right of complaint applies.

Excluded are:

Normal wear and tear

Improper or misused use

Accidents, force majeure
-
Failure to comply with specifications

Willful destruction, unauthorized interventions, pets

Transport and drop damage, scratches, cuts, rust, UV fading

Damage caused by improper use or care

Damage caused by chemicals, chlorine, friction, extreme weather conditions

The scope of the guarantee obligations:

Warranty from the date of purchase as described in point 3

Repairs during the warranty period free of charge

If not possible/reasonable: Exchange or replacement with an equivalent product

Provision of warranty services in the normal course of business

The decision regarding repair, exchange or replacement lies with de Sede AG

The service does not start a new warranty period

Note: Use a de Sede protective cover for year-round protection of your outdoor furniture.

Sliding elements, rollers, bearings, suspensions, or mechanisms are covered by a 5-year warranty . Within this period: free replacement; thereafter: replacement for a fee.

The warranty is void if modifications or repairs are made without written consent.

de Sede AG only covers the direct costs of correcting the error. It assumes no liability for consequential damages unless there is intent or gross negligence. Statutory/contractual warranty rights remain unaffected.
