Leder

de Sede ist mit Leder grossgeworden. Unsere Manufaktur entstand aus einer ehemaligen Sattlerei – und noch heute sind wir stolz auf unsere, seit Generationen weitergegebene, Leder-Expertise. Ernst Lüthy, dem Gründer von de Sede, war es ein besonderes Anliegen, dass sich das Leder in seiner natürlichen Schönheit entfalten kann. Mit der Entwicklung des rein Anilin gefärbten DS-Original Leders war es ihm bereits 1964 gelungen, seine an Möbelleder gestellten hohen Ansprüche zu erfüllen.

Characteristics Strong, firm, and durable. This saddle leather is unique in its unique grain and its very fine pattern of pores, grain, and surface structure. ARTISANO is only available on select models and, due to its properties, is ideal for compact seat or backrest sections, as well as smooth surfaces and side panels.

Characteristics Full-grain, unique in its pattern of pores, grains, and surface structure – strong, firm, durable, shape- and color-stable, yet soft and supple. It is characterized by its durability and high value retention. Its open porosity makes it particularly breathable and temperature-regulating.

With Coloral, de Sede offers the option of choosing from over 2,000 NCS/RAL colors, fulfilling almost any color wish – from fashionable trend colors to new nuances of classic tones to more unusual preferences. The minimum order quantity is 2 leather hides.

Characteristics This velvety leather is known for its soft, velvety feel. The matte finish changes depending on the grain direction, resulting in a beautiful and unique appearance. The leather is natural and breathable. Cashmere is only available in certain models.

Characteristics Undoubtedly the most authentic way to own leather with all the positive qualities of a natural material – exceptionally soft and supple, with a silky feel. Its original character is emphasized by possible slight variations in color intensity. Naturale is subject to visible aging, developing a distinct patina over the years – a surface with history and personality.

Characteristics Preserved naturalness with an incomparably striking, even rustic appeal creates a truly unique eye-catcher – without equal in terms of quality. A cover with NECK requires entire sections of leather for each back, side, and seat section. The joining process creates so-called optical fold seams: an art of de Sede craftsmen and women that also requires exceptional strength.

Characteristics Carefully crafted to preserve its natural appearance, with characteristic wrinkles, grain, and pore patterns. Dyed throughout after tanning, it has a special finish to preserve its natural radiance while providing enhanced protection. It undergoes a natural aging process, giving it a charming patina.

Liebe zum Detail

Für de Sede ist Perfektion Ansporn, Anspruch und Werterhaltung. Es ist die Sorgfalt, mit der wir uns stets auch dem kleinsten Detail widmen. Der Qualitätswille, der nicht nach einer guten, sondern stets nach der besten Lösung strebt. Besonders deutlich wird unsere Liebe zum Detail in der Näherei. Wir wenden Techniken und Verfahren an, wie sie heute nur noch selten eingesetzt werden. Kunstvolle, präzise Verbindungs- und Ziernähte zeugen von höchster Sorgfalt.

Bei de Sede wurde schon immer viel Wert auf die Nahttechniken gelegt. So erfand man in unserer Manufaktur bereits 1967 die Riemchennaht für das Modell DS-31, die Sattlernaht bei DS-61, sowie die aufwendige Fadenabheftung beim DS-51. Eine weitere Innovation waren die Zick-Zack-Nähte mit Chirurgenfaden, eine Nähtechnik für extrem dicke Leder, sowie die einfache Dreifachnaht und dreifache Zick-Zack- Naht – ein weiterer Meilenstein in der Nähtechnik.

    Characteristics The fabric is created by incorporating an additional thread into a knitted fabric, creating small loops on the surface. In a subsequent process, these loops are cut open, creating the velvety surface. The fine base fabric gives the fabric a light drape.     Aus eleganten Metallen sind die filigranen Füsse, Rahmen oder Gestelle unserer Möbel gefertigt. Ob verchromt, poliert oder beschichtet – unter den vielfältigen Möglichkeiten ist bestimmt auch Ihre Wunschausführung dabei.

    Für unsere Outdoorkollektion verwenden wir Metalle, die KTL beschichtet sind, um den besonderen Bedingungen unter freiem Himmel zu entsprechen.

    Oberflächen

    Edle, anspruchsvolle Materialien wie Marmor, Granit, Quarz, Holz oder Glas lassen sich zu diversen Oberflächen verarbeiten und individuell anpassen. Produziert und veredelt auf Basis modernster Technik und in höchster handwerklicher Qualität sind sie eine elegante Ergänzung des de Sede Materialportfolios.
